Landscape Structures Introduces Playground Inspirations App 

​Jan. 28, 2014 — Landscape Structures, a Delano, Minn.-based commercial playground equipment manufacturer, unveiled the new Playground Inspirations app during its Annual Sales Meeting in Minneapolis. The digital app was created as a companion to the company’s Playground Inspirations book, which has more than 100 pages featuring new products, bold signature designs, and ideas for age-appropriate play environments.

“This interactive app provides a whole new way for individuals to experience our playgrounds all over the world,” said Lynn Pinoniemi, director of marketing at Landscape Structures. “Many of our clients have already been using tablets as part of everyday life—professional and personal. We feel that this new robust tool will enhance and make the playground design process even easier.”

The Playground Inspirations app, available for iPad and most Android tablets, will help bring the designs featured in the Playground Inspirations book to life. Together, the book and app lets users:

• View more than 1,000 photos, videos, and 2D and 3D renders of featured playgrounds
• See specifications for each playground including colors, minimum area required, maximum fall height, and safety certifications
• Read stories about each playground and where it’s located in the world
• See 3D renders of playgrounds that users “may also like”
• Search for playgrounds by various criteria
• Share playgrounds with colleagues and playground committee members
