A little teamwork goes a long way!
Principals Install a Playground at Suitland School
Principals from across the country came together for National Association of Elementary School Principal's (NAESP) eighth annual Community Service Day, held as a part of the 2016 Annual Conference in National Harbor, Maryland. The annual Community Service Day offers NAESP conference attendees an opportunity to make a difference through service projects that improve local schools. This year, principals hopped on the bus to visit nearby Princeton Elementary School, part of the Prince George's County Public Schools, and help build a Landscape Structures' playground. We're thrilled to support NAESP in making a difference in a well-deserved school!

The noisy swing set at Princeton Elementary School in Suitland is showing its age and that goes for much of the other equipment on the school's playground. Fortunately, a band of leaders is coming to the rescue. "Today we are having a playground that's being built for us and the playground was donated to us by NAESP, which is the National Association of Elementary School Principals," Princeton Principal Henina Bunch shared with ABC7 News.
"This is our Community Service Day so you'll see about 80 principals, spouses; some of them brought their children with them, to be able to give back to a local community and a local school," explained NAESP President Dr. Robyn Conrad Hansen.
With sweat on the brow and tools in hand, the principals took the first steps of setting up a $40 thousand playset donated by Landscape Structures of Minnesota.
"I like sliding, it's really fun," 6-year-old Brilyne Pryor exclaimed.
