Ohio Parks & Recreation Association Conference Provides Gold Medal Insights from Keynote Shannon Miller

Landscape Structures Inc., a Delano, Minn.-based commercial playground equipment manufacturer, along with its Ohio playground consultants, Service Supply Ltd., Inc., will exhibit at the 2015 Ohio Parks & Recreation Association (OPRA) Conference and Trade Show Feb. 1-4, in Sandusky. The Conference will feature Shannon Miller, a seven-time Olympic medalist and advocate for healthy living, as the keynote speaker. This learning experience was made possible through the 2014-2015 State Association Speaker Scholarship program from Landscape Structures.

Miller will discuss how the gold medal mindset leads to victory on the competition floor, in the boardroom, and in our personal lives. Through her Olympic and personal experiences, she’ll explain ways to overcome even the most difficult obstacles standing in the way of our success. With seven Olympic medals, Miller uses her critical insight to share what it takes to be a winner: the importance of goal setting, leadership, maintaining a positive attitude, and teamwork. ORPA attendees will leave empowered to work together for a positive outcome and understand the steps it takes to be a successful leader in both work and life.

The 90-minute session will be presented at 10 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 2. Following the keynote address, delegates will have the opportunity to visit Service Supply and Landscape Structures in the exhibit hall to learn about the newest playground innovations, including nature-inspired colors, the Canyon Collection™, and a fresh new design for the HealthBeat® outdoor fitness system.
