MRPA Annual Conference 2013
Helping Parks & Recreation Professionals Create Cultures of Innovation at 76th MRPA Annual Conference
Sept. 23, 2013 —Landscape Structures Inc., a Delano, Minn.-based commercial playground equipment manufacturer, along with its Minnesota playground consultant, Flagship Recreation, will exhibit at the 76th Minnesota Recreation and Park Association Annual Conference from September 24-27 in Brooklyn Center. The conference is set to feature Dr. Richard D. Brynteson, a professor at Concordia University, as the keynote speaker. This valuable learning opportunity was made possible through the 2013-2014 State Association Speaker Scholarship program from Landscape Structures.
In Brynteson's keynote address, he will provide attendees with insights on becoming more innovative and fostering a culture of innovation. He will explore the DNA of innovators and innovative organizations. As individuals, we are consistently tasked with accomplishing more with fewer resources, and cultivating innovation can be a valuable asset in meeting that challenge. After Brynteson's 90-minute keynote presentation at 9 a.m. on Friday, September 27, conference participants can further delve into this topic in a session led by John McConkey, market insights manager at Landscape Structures, and Jennifer Fink from Ramsey County, focusing on lean process improvement at 10:45 a.m.
Furthermore, on Wednesday, September 25, Flagship Recreation and Landscape Structures will be in the exhibit hall to engage attendees in discussions about the latest trends in playground design, including inclusive play and signature designs.
