Shannon Miller Discusses Finding Balance at PRPS 66th Annual Conference 

March 21, 2013 —Landscape Structures Inc., a Delano, Minn.-based commercial playground equipment manufacturer, along with its Pennsylvania playground consultant, General Recreation, Inc., is scheduled to exhibit at the Pennsylvania Recreation and Park Society 66th Annual State Conference, taking place from March 24-26 in Hershey. The conference will feature Shannon Miller, a seven-time Olympic medalist and advocate for healthy living, as the keynote speaker. This learning experience was made possible through the 2012-2013 State Association Speaker Scholarship program from Landscape Structures.

Shannon is passionate about helping people of all ages achieve healthy, active lifestyles through fitness and nutrition. As a recent cancer survivor and daughter of a cancer survivor, Shannon is especially dedicated to prioritizing health. She serves as the president and founder of the Shannon Miller Foundation, which combats childhood obesity through education and awareness of the health risks associated with the disease. The Foundation offers children the opportunity to be physically active and gain greater nutritional knowledge. Through her personal stories of trial and triumph, Shannon will share with her audience the idea of "balance" in all of life's efforts.

The 75-minute session will be presented at 4:45 p.m. on Sunday, March 24.
