Landscape Structures-Sponsored Speaker Encourages Big Thinking in Parks 

March 14, 2013 — Landscape Structures and its New York playground consultants, Parkitects, Inc. and Site Specialists Ltd., will sponsor Andy Beers, executive deputy commissioner of the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, as the keynote speaker at the New York State Recreation and Park Society Annual Conference. Beers has served as the executive deputy commissioner of the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation since January 2007. He is responsible for agency operations and administration, as well as for the planning and management of all agency regions and bureaus.

Beers’ presentation, Parks Management – Thinking Big in Tight Times, will highlight a number of initiatives underway in New York State Parks to strengthen park systems during a time of tight agency resources.
