This park memorializes Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with a mountaintop-themed PlayBooster® playstructure highlighting key pieces of his Mountaintop Speech from 1968. This playstructure, designed for kids ages 5 to 12, features the Cascade Climber, playground nets, the Double Swoosh Slide® and Track Ride, plus lots more. Additionally, a playstructure designed for kids ages 2 to 5 features a custom roof proclaiming MLK Park and another key piece in the civil right movement, a play component that mimics the bus Rosa Parks rode. Not only will this playground design encourage imaginative play, but it will help teach visitors about a very important part of history.
