Sight, sound, smell, touch and taste -- children learn about the world through their five senses. A playground is not only a place to move and challenge the body, but it's also a place for sensory learning and exploration. Our sensory play components like sandboxes and sand tables allow children to experience the tactile sensation of sand -- how it scratches the skin, how it sifts through the fingers, how it's cooler the further you dig. The paint panel is both a tactile and visual exploration as children feel the slippery slide of finger paint on the panel and see the bright color combinations emerge. The crawl tunnels and the cozy dome are sensory play features that offer a place to quiet the senses -- a contrast from the sensory rich world around them when they need a break.
